2024 – Jubileumjaar voor de Nederlandse Boxer Club
Vanwege het feit dat de Nederlandse Boxerclub in 2024, 120 jaar bestaat, besefte ik dat ik lid werd van de NBC toen dhr. de Jong, keurmeester van het ras, in 1963 voorzitter werd.
Net als mw. Onstenk – Schenk en Izak Jan Rusticus, ben ik vanuit het ouderlijk huis met de liefde voor de Boxer grootgebracht. En die liefde is gebleven.
Toen ik zelfstandig ging wonen heb ik naast Duitse Doggen ook nog vele jaren Boxers gefokt en geshowd.
In 1981 werd ik keurmeester en inmiddels ben ik nu al vele jaren groepskeurmeester voor FCI groep 2.
Naast vele andere rassen uit die groep, heb ik ook Boxers in vele landen gekeurd, zowel op Boxerspecialities, als ook op CAC en CACIB niveau binnen Europa.
Op de World Dog Show in Polen had ik de eer om de Boxerteven te keuren, waarbij mijn Beste Teef ook BOB werd.
Ook heb ik een aantal keren Boxers mogen keuren op de Speciality in Indonesië, waarbij ik geconfronteerd werd met importen uit vele landen, waaronder ook Boxers uit Nederland en België, waar de kwaliteit toen vrij hoog was.
Vanwege het regelmatig keuren in zoveel verschillende landen, werd mij de mogelijkheid geboden om mijn visie op de kwaliteit Boxers steeds te verrijken, dan wel aan te passen, waardoor ik goed op de hoogte bleef van de ontwikkelingen en kwaliteiten binnen het ras.
Een korte tijd mocht ik als voorzitter deel uitmaken van het bestuur van de Nederlandse Boxer Club.
Omdat de jaren nu gaan tellen, besef ik ook dat de mogelijkheid om op zo een groot Boxerevenement te mogen keuren, steeds kleiner wordt.
Daarom vind ik het een eer om door het bestuur van de NBC uitgenodigd te zijn om op dit jubileum weekend een klas Boxers op de Atibox te keuren.
Ik wens het bestuur en alle medewerkers aan dit speciale jubileum weekend alle succes toe voor het vele werk dat zij aan dit weekend besteden.
Graag spreek ik de wens uit dat alle deelnemers aan dit jubileum speciale herinneringen mogen beleven.
2024 – Anniversary year for the Dutch Boxer Club
Due to the fact that the Dutch Boxer Club will exist for 120 years in 2024, I realized that I became a member of the NBC when Mr. de Jong, judge of the breed, became chairman in 1963.
Just like Mrs. Onstenk – Schenk and Izak Jan Rusticus, I was raised in my parental home with a love for the Boxer. And that love has remained.
When I started living independently, in addition to Great Danes, I also bred and showed Boxers for many years.
I became a judge in 1981 and have now been a Group Judge for FCI group 2 for many years.
In addition to many other breeds from that group, I have also judged Boxers in many countries, both at Boxer Specialties and at CAC and CACIB level within Europe.
At the World Dog Show in Poland I had the honor of judging the Boxer bitches, where my Best Bitch also became BOB.
I also had the opportunity to inspect Boxers a number of times at the Specialty in Indonesia, where I was confronted with imports from many countries, including Boxers from The Netherlands and Belgium, where the quality was quite high at the time.
Because of regular inspections in so many different countries, I was offered the opportunity to continually enrich or adapt my vision of the quality of Boxers, so that I remained well informed of the developments and qualities within the breed.
For a short time I was allowed to be part of the board of the Dutch Boxer Club as chairman.
Because the years are now counting, I also realize that the opportunity to judge at such a major Boxer event is becoming increasingly smaller.
That is why I consider it an honor to have been invited by the board of the NBC to judge a class of Boxers at the Atibox on this anniversary weekend.
I wish the board and all assistants every success on this special anniversary weekend for the hard work they put into this weekend.
