I was lucky that both my parents and grandparents owned Boxers as family pets, so I have known Boxers most of my life.
Our thirst for knowledge and the willingness to listen and learn, drove us to visit shows not only in the UK, but also in Europe and we have been fortunate to have seen some of the great Boxers of the past.
In those early years our showing was restricted to the UK, due to quarantine restrictions. When relaxed, we were also able show at the major European Boxer shows with some success. Boxers owned and bred by us gaining their champion titles in a number of countries.
Our minds were always open to the possibilities to improve our breeding, quality and introduce new lines. For this aim we have imported Boxers from Holland, Belgium and Italy & Russia.
I started judging in 1991, progressing through the English judges system to be approved to judge at Championship Shows.
I have had the privilege of judging at the ATIBOX Boxer World Show on two occasions in 2013 and 2022. Also at the Annual and Club Championships shows in Denmark, Finland, Holland, Portugal, Serbia, Spain, Sweden, Australia, France, Italy, Slovenia and the UK.
Since 2015 we have lived in Spain, where our passion has continued, though now we have retired from exhibiting and breeding.
For me it is important to also contribute to the Boxer world, this I continue to do as now I have the honour of being General Secretary of ATIBOX.
I wish all exhibitors and the organisers good luck and success. Let us have only one focus: our breed, the BOXER.

Ik had het geluk dat zowel mijn ouders als grootouders Boxers als huisdier hadden, dus ik ken Boxers het grootste deel van mijn leven.
Onze honger naar kennis en de bereidheid om te luisteren en te leren brachten ons ertoe om niet alleen shows in Groot-Brittannië, maar ook in Europa te bezoeken.
Wij hebben het geluk gehad enkele van de grote Boxers uit het verleden te hebben gezien.
In die beginjaren waren onze shows beperkt tot Groot-Brittannië vanwege quarantainebeperkingen. Toen deze beperkingen gedeeltelijk opgeheven werden, konden we ook met enig succes showen op de grote Europese Boxershows. Boxers in ons bezit of gefokt door ons, behaalden kampioenstitels in een aantal landen.
Onze geest stond altijd open voor de mogelijkheden om onze fokkerij en kwaliteit te verbeteren en nieuwe lijnen te introduceren. Voor dit doel hebben we Boxers geïmporteerd uit Nederland, België, Italië en Rusland.
Ik begon met keuren in 1991 en doorliep het Engelse jurysysteem om goedgekeurd te worden om te keuren op kampioenschapsshows.
Ik heb het voorrecht gehad om twee keer te keuren op de ATIBOX Boxer World Show in 2013 en 2022. Ook op de jaarlijkse en clubkampioenschappen in Denemarken, Finland, Nederland, Portugal, Servië, Spanje, Zweden, Australië, Frankrijk, Italië, Slovenië en Groot-Brittannië.
Sinds 2015 wonen we in Spanje, waar onze passie is voortgezet, hoewel we inmiddels gestopt zijn met exposeren en fokken.
Voor mij is het belangrijk om ook een bijdrage te leveren aan de Boxerwereld, dit blijf ik doen, aangezien ik nu de eer heb om secretaries – generaal van de ATIBOX te zijn.
Ik wens alle exposanten en de organisatoren veel geluk en success. Laten we ons maar op één focus richten: ons ras, de BOXER.
